Get to know Bunbatos

Bunbatos (who also goes by Zu) is a Montreal based Masters Cosplayer and Artist with 3 years of Competitive Cosplay experience and 11 years of creator experience.

His awards range from Best in Class Workmanship (Ganime 2024), Performance in drama (Otakuthon 2024/25), and numerous awards in construction, tailoring and propwork (Quebec City Comicon 2025/Otakuthon 2025).

Zu’s Judging experience, while small, is colorful as he has had the opportunity to be a judge for the Salon National Des Collectioneurs (2024/25) as well as Montreal Anime Fest 2025 and looks forward to growing his experience as a cosplay judge.

He has experience MCing for cosplay competitions (Montreal anime fest 2025) as well as being apart of panels (‘what to get your cosplayer for christmas’ weecon 2024 and ‘what is cosplay judging’ Montreal anime fest 2025). Zu is comfortable in front of crowds and well adapted to bouncing changes off the fly and bringing an uplifting, even tempered attitude to whatever event hes apart of.
