What to get your cosplayer for Christmas
So, are you feeling stumped on what to get the cosplayer in your life for the holiday season? Don’t want to simply get them a gift card and call it a day? Worry not; we’ve got you covered! While our giftlist is mostly curated for various focuses, you’ll still need to find out what your cosplayer actually already has. A few of our choices also have a few options ranging from low to high end. Please note that the list we’ve created is made with amazon affiliate links, you are not charged any extra for your purchases while helping us out.
Our first category is safety. A lot of really helpful tools can be quite harmful, so having the correct safety gear can be key to tell your cosplayer that you love them and you want them to be safe.
Secondly, we have our sewing category. Things like needles are always breaking or getting lost, so having a supply built up can really help your cosplayer. I don’t know about you, but I’ve broken my last needle in the middle of the night far more often than I’d like to admit. Other consumable accessories like chalk, velcro, zippers and heat erase pens can also help your sewist in a pinch.
Third off, we have ironing and pressing goods which are honestly a good option for anyone in your life who happens to wear clothing. I have the cordless Panasonic iron, and honestly love it. Its really handy if I need to travel as it comes with a cover and retractable cord.
Our lovely foamsmiths are fourth on our list. Of course, they can always use more foam! However, sharp knives, a rotary tool, and contact cement could always be handy! Some cosplayers even use squeeze bottles for their contact cement for easy application. Just make sure it can be sealed correctly. Googly eyes can also be used as fake rivets on their armour.
Number 5 is for our wig mancers; they can always use more Got2b products, or perhaps a new hair dryer. Some also use wire, tape, and quilt batting to form gravity defying styles.
For our painters, they can always use more brushes and pallets. Fabric medium, gloss or matte varnishes are always appreciated. If your cosplayer owns an airbrush, airbrush cleaner is always going to be appreciated.
When it comes to 3d printing, I know I prefer printing in white because its easier to paint. So I recommend white filament or resin; depends on what kind of printer your cosplayer has. A cleaning kit is also something nice that they might need, but not bother getting for themselves.
If your cosplayer is also a home photographer, a good selfie tripod could be a kind option. Photography backdrops are also going to be handy-dandy.
Of course, there’s all sorts of misc articles that could be given. I for one am an absolute sucker for clicky pencils, though I burn through the erasers, but there are replacements!
Of course, whatever you get for your cosplayer is sure to be loved. They’ll be thrilled to know just that you are thinking of them.
